What You'll Do:
Lead quality initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring product and
process excellence
Act as an FAA approved DMIR under 14CFR 183.31
Facilitate cross-functional investigations and lead CAPA processes that go
beyond compliance to real improvement
Drive initiatives to improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance
process efficiency
Design and implement quality assurance processes, including testing
methodologies, quality control plans and inspection procedures
Maintain detailed documentation of quality process, test results and metrics;
provide regular reports to management on quality performance
Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing and suppliers to build quality
into every stage of the lifecycle
Assist the Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the
QMS and other quality functions as needed to ensure compliance to AS9100
Mentor and elevate the team, sharing expertise and modeling curiosity,
accountability and respect
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Aerospace and/or automotive manufacturing environments
Six Sigma Green belt or higher
Strong background in precision machining
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Strong background with brazing and welding standards
Familiar with blueprints & GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 Standards
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years' experience in Aerospace quality
engineering
Ability to interview with FAA for DMIR position within first three months
Experience with ISO9001/As9100, or equivalent quality management system
Experience with Configuration management and product life cycles
Expertise in problem-solving tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone,
DOE, SPC, MSA
Proven success leading cross functional initiatives that move the needle
Clear, confident communicator who thrives in diverse, collaborative
environments
High integrity and ownership mindset - you do the right thing, even when it's
hard
Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction
