A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Designer to support residential land development projects in the Charlotte area. This role focuses on greenfield single-family residential subdivision design and offers the opportunity to work on projects from initial planning through construction support.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil engineering design plans for residential land development projects
  • Develop grading, roadway, storm drainage, and utility plans using Civil 3D
  • Assist with stormwater management design, erosion control plans, and permitting documentation
  • Support project teams through design, documentation, permitting, and construction phases
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (EIT preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in land development design, ideally residential subdivisions
  • Experience with Civil 3D design including grading, roadway profiles, utilities, and storm drainage
  • Familiarity with stormwater management and erosion control practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with HydroCAD, Hydraflow, Bluebeam, and related design software preferred
