Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative resin-based products for high-performance coatings and specialty industrial applications. Their products are utilized in various industries, including tire, paper, textiles, and laminates.

 

We are looking for a full time Technical Business Development Manager to join their growing team. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth, create market and sales plans, forecast sales targets and growth projections, and solicit new business with the ultimate goal of growing EBITDA on an annual basis.

 

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Business Development, Americas, the Technical Business Development Manager will identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, customer site visits, and other channels.

 

Please note - this is a REMOTE position, and will require domestic and international travel.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships as well as identifying and developing potential customers
  • Assess and build business case for new product development
  • Develop new sales areas in the Americas through various methods
  • Use technical knowledge and skills to solve problems with technical staff at customers, using a consultative value selling approach
  • Collaborate with commercial team to ensure sales targets and profit goals are met
  • Run application tests in the laboratory as necessary to support product development and enhancements

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other technical degree or related work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the chemical field preferred, ideally in the Chemical Coatings industry
  • 5+ years professional experience supporting new business development and strategic partner relationships
  • Some technical experience in tech service, formulations, etc. is highly desired
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the field of resins chemistry and coatings applications
  • Experience supporting new business development and strategic partner relationships.
  • Must be able to travel frequently by car and air
