As a key member of theexecutive leadership team, you will provide strategic direction and oversight for waterand wastewater projects throughout Central Texas. This includes serving majormunicipal clients such as the City of Austin and other local agencies.
Responsibilities● Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the vision and direction for theWater/Wastewater Engineering division, driving growth, profitability, and innovation inalignment with the firm's strategic goals.● Technical Expertise: Act as the senior technical authority for water and wastewatersystems, including treatment plant evaluation and design, rehabilitation and expansion,and master planning.● Project Management: Oversee the technical and financial management of multiple,concurrent projects involving W/WW pipelines, force mains, pump stations, lift stations,treatment plants, water supply systems, and solids handling facilities. Develop projectsequencing, work breakdown structures, and ensure successful project delivery.● Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities andpublic agencies. Collaborate with sub-consultants and diverse project teams to achieveclient objectives.● Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing group of engineers,project managers, and support staff. Manage team performance and foster professionalgrowth to ensure top-quality project outcomes.● Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry bestpractices. Implement quality control processes to maintain technical excellence andclient satisfaction.Required Qualifications● Education & Credentials:○ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (advanced degreepreferred).○ Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.● Experience:○ Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and projects.○ Extensive hands-on experience in water and wastewater engineering, with expertisein municipal projects.○ Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.○ Experience in water treatment plants, wastewater plants, pipeline projects, tunnels,and related infrastructure.○ Project resume showcasing relevant municipal projects is required.● Client Engagement:○ Strong client-facing and client engagement experience, with a proven track record offostering long-term relationships with municipalities and public agencies.○ Experience with City of Austin projects is preferred.● Technical Skills:○ Demonstrated knowledge in water and wastewater systems design andimplementation.○ Strong business acumen with experience identifying new business opportunities,negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and steering financial performance.
