Title: Program Director
Location: Flint, MI

 Summary

We are assisting our client in the search for a Regional Program Director providing high-level strategic leadership and operational management for a portfolio of residential care facilities. Acting as the primary link between Executive Leadership and the Upper Management Team, this role ensures all programs remain aligned with company missions, regulatory mandates, and clinical quality standards. This is a "hands-on" leadership position requiring a frequent physical presence in the field to mentor site leaders and drive continuous quality improvement.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Communication & Leadership

  • Serve as the lead communicator between the executive office and mid-level management.

  • Facilitate regular leadership forums to disseminate policy updates, organizational shifts, and specialized training initiatives.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across all assigned locations.

  • Ensure transparent and timely information flow throughout the management hierarchy.

Operational Excellence & Field Oversight

  • Provide comprehensive oversight for assigned residential sites to guarantee compliance with state and internal standards.

  • Perform weekly site inspections to evaluate facility conditions, staff performance, and resident care quality.

  • Engage directly with frontline personnel to provide real-time coaching and professional development.

  • Audit and participate in daily operational briefings to ensure clinical and administrative alignment.

Performance Management & Talent Development

  • Monitor the effectiveness of the management team, implementing development plans or corrective actions where necessary.

  • Execute formal semi-annual and annual performance appraisals.

  • Oversee administrative tasks including labor hour approvals, leave requests, and schedule optimization.

  • Uphold rigorous accountability standards through documented feedback and disciplinary protocols.

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain a state of "audit-readiness" across all programs, ensuring adherence to trauma-informed care models.

  • Lead or support internal investigations regarding operational incidents or personnel matters.

  • Monitor digital communication channels to ensure task delegation, safety protocols (including "eyes-on" requirements), and training compliance are met.

  • Produce detailed reports on daily operational impacts and site-specific risks.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Manage quarterly outreach to guardians and family members to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, retreats, and professional development seminars.

  • Actively participate in the talent acquisition process for future leadership roles.
