Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Product Development Manager to own product strategy, requirements, and delivery across identity/authentication and digital onboarding for a free streaming or content-access experience.

This role will serve as the product owner for authentication flows, account creation, onboarding funnels, entitlement logic, and related commerce experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong product strategist, detailed requirements writer, cross-functional partner, and data-driven decision-maker who can work closely with engineering, design, security, marketing, analytics, and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for identity, authentication, account access, onboarding, and related commerce experiences.
  • Define product strategy that balances customer experience, business goals, technical feasibility, security needs, and delivery capacity.
  • Write clear, detailed product requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, dependencies, and technical constraints.
  • Translate complex authentication, onboarding, subscription, entitlement, and commerce flows into build-ready product documentation.
  • Partner with engineering, design, security, analytics, marketing, legal, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
  • Lead refinement sessions and support sprint planning, backlog prioritization, QA, release readiness, and launch activities.
  • Establish launch criteria, manage go/no-go decisions, and monitor post-launch product performance.
  • Define and track KPIs for authentication, onboarding, activation, conversion, and product health.
  • Use product analytics and engineering metrics to identify friction points, defects, performance issues, and optimization opportunities.
  • Build dashboards, reporting cadences, and executive-level updates to communicate product performance and roadmap status.
  • Monitor competitive trends across streaming platforms, digital identity, free-tier onboarding, AVOD/FAST models, and subscription experiences.
  • Benchmark customer flows against competitors and identify opportunities to improve the user experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for identity, authentication, onboarding, and customer access experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of product management, product owner, or product development experience.
  • Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from requirements through launch and iteration.
  • Proven experience writing detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Experience owning digital product roadmaps and communicating priorities to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience defining KPIs, building dashboards, interpreting data, and making data-informed product decisions.
  • Experience with digital onboarding, account creation, subscription flows, commerce flows, transaction experiences, or customer conversion funnels.
  • Background in OTT, streaming, MVPD, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, media, entertainment, connected TV, digital apps, or similar consumer-facing digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with connected TV, mobile, web, streaming devices, and third-party app platforms.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear business updates.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar product/project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on product experience with identity management, authentication, SSO, OAuth/OIDC, passkeys, one-time passcodes, login flows, account management, or entitlement logic.
  • Experience with subscription management, upsell flows, lifecycle conversion, or free-to-paid customer journeys.
  • Experience owning onboarding funnels for free-tier, AVOD, FAST, or freemium digital products.
  • Experience conducting competitive research and turning insights into roadmap recommendations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools, AI-powered product workflows, or LLM-enabled product prototypes.
  • Prior experience in large-scale digital product environments with complex stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic and execution-focused Product Manager who can think beyond individual tickets or features. This person should be comfortable owning a product domain, defining a roadmap, writing detailed requirements, partnering with engineering, and using data to continuously improve the customer experience.

Strong candidates will bring product strategy, requirements discipline, analytical thinking, customer empathy, and hands-on delivery experience.
