A growing commercial printing operation in the Chicago area is looking for Digital Press Operators / Pressmen to join its production team.

Experience on Fuji J Press, HP Indigo, EFI VUTEk, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, or similar digital equipment is a major plus — but it is NOT required.

If you have a background in commercial printing, sheetfed offset, digital printing, wide-format, prepress, or other print production and have the mechanical ability to learn new equipment, we want to talk with you.

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, and monitor commercial digital printing equipment
• Review job tickets, proofs, and production specifications
• Set up jobs and make press adjustments to maintain quality and productivity
• Monitor color, registration, image quality, and overall print quality
• Load paper, substrates, inks, and other production materials
• Troubleshoot feeding, print quality, registration, color, and basic mechanical issues
• Perform routine press maintenance and keep equipment production-ready
• Complete quality checks throughout each press run
• Minimize waste, spoilage, and unnecessary downtime
• Work closely with prepress, bindery, and production teams to keep jobs moving
• Maintain accurate production records
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe

Digital Press Experience Is a Plus

We are especially interested in operators with experience on equipment such as:

• Fuji J Press
• HP Indigo
• EFI VUTEk
• Xerox production presses
• Canon production presses
• Ricoh production presses
• Konica Minolta production presses
• Wide-format digital presses
• Similar commercial digital printing equipment

Don't have experience on these exact presses? That's okay.

If you are an experienced sheetfed offset pressman, commercial print operator, wide-format operator, prepress professional, or mechanically inclined printing professional, your background may transfer well to this opportunity.

What We're Looking For

• Commercial printing experience is strongly preferred
• Digital press experience is preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability and willingness to learn new printing equipment
• Ability to read job tickets, proofs, and production specifications
• Strong eye for color, registration, and print quality
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Dependable and comfortable working independently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Commitment to quality, safety, and hitting production deadlines
