Highly respected freight forwarder is looking for an experienced Entry Writer to join their import team!
This role is responsible for day-to-day brokerage operations, from entry writing to final delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
Gather documentation needed for clearance.
Consult HTS to classify commodities.
Submit ISF and Customs entries in a timely manner.
Comply with all SOPs, laws, rules, and regulations.
Communicate with government agencies, customer and vendors.
Handle exams, holds, and requests for information.
Make note of financial transactions per shipment.
Address and resolve problems with urgency to avoid penalties.

Monitor cargo for release from Customs and other agencies.
Arrange delivery to final destination and obtain proof of delivery.
Main Requirements:
Hands-on entry writing experience with a forwarder/NVOCC/CHB.
Current knowledge of the brokerage process for international ocean and air imports.
Familiar with USDA, FDA, USFWS, PGAs, etc.
Able to prioritize tasks to make deadlines and avoid delays.
Passion for the fast-paced, dynamic world of logistics.
Effective and professional communication skills.
