Award-winning niche freight forwarder is looking for a talented professional to join their operations team. This high-visibility role works closely with origin offices and business partners to process ocean import FCL and LCL shipments and provide excellent customer service. 

 

Receive and process all import documentation.

Track and trace, updating all parties at each stage.

Work with Customs broker to expedite clearance.

Pay vendors and ensure they have all info needed to move cargo.

Verify freight, OBL, Customs, warehouse and terminal releases.

Comply with all laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Arrange pickups from pier and delivery to final destination.   

Maintain records of all financial transactions per file.

 

Import operations experience with a freight forwarder or NVOCC.

Current with ocean import operations procedures.
Proficient in CargoWise.   

Resourceful problem-solver who can prioritize to avoid delays and penalties.

Comfortable in a smaller, dynamic office handling files a-z.
