Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Engineer – SCADA Tech serves as a technical lead supporting the design, security, and daily operation of industrial control system (ICS) and SCADA network environments. This role focuses on securing operational technology (OT) networks and ensuring reliable, compliant infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of SCADA and ICS network security solutions

  • Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, and network security controls

  • Support LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, and routing environments

  • Secure and monitor ICS/SCADA protocols and network traffic

  • Conduct security assessments, audits, and risk mitigation activities

  • Develop and maintain network and security documentation

  • Collaborate with IT security teams and external consultants


Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with network switches, routers, and firewalls

  • Experience with routing protocols such as EIGRP and BGP

  • Knowledge of ICS and SCADA protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, CIP)

  • Experience securing enterprise or industrial network environments


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED plus relevant college coursework

  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience, including advanced technical-level experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in ICS or SCADA environments

  • Relevant cybersecurity or networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Security, GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443)
