Sr. Project Manager-AI

This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and C2C arrangements are not accepted. This role is remote.

Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager - AI that leads end-to-end delivery of AI and data-driven initiatives, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution while managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource plans for AI/ML initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams (data science, ML engineering, data engineering, analytics) and maintain strong stakeholder communication.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear business insights and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, model bias, ethics, privacy, and security; escalate critical issues as needed.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security throughout the AI/ML lifecycle.
• Maintain disciplined use of project methodologies, tools, templates, and portfolio management systems.
• Oversee timely completion of technical and business deliverables.
• Build and track detailed project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource assignments.
• Conduct project meetings, document decisions, and manage risks/issues.
• Deliver weekly status reports and prepare Gate Approvals and Change Requests.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of business processes, ideally in financial services or other regulated industries.
• Deep project management expertise across all core PM disciplines.
• Proficiency with PM tools (Jira, Confluence), productivity tools, and portfolio management systems.
• Solid understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, data pipelines, model training/testing, and MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Git.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and algorithmic bias.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate effectively across teams.

• 7+ years of project/program management experience, including AI/ML or data-focused projects.
