Data and Analytics Technical Lead

Overview
The Data and Analytics Technical Lead is a senior member of a data engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and delivering scalable data solutions that address complex business and technical challenges. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with architectural oversight, business partnership, and strategic thinking across data platforms and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of end-to-end technical data solutions

Architect, design, and implement scalable solutions using cloud and big data technologies

Translate complex business problems into effective data and analytics solutions

Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals and data needs

Ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data

Transform analytical insights into actionable business outcomes

Anticipate evolving business requirements and recommend forward-looking technical strategies

Author and review architecture, design, and technical documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables

Provide technical guidance across data platforms, applications, and engineering teams

Drive initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with broader objectives
Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a technical lead, senior engineer, or architect role

Strong understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., compute, storage, serverless, APIs, data integration services)

Experience working with big data platforms and distributed data processing tools

3–5 years of experience developing solutions using Hadoop ecosystems and NoSQL databases

Strong experience with data modeling, data architecture, and business logic design

Advanced proficiency in SQL; data architecture experience is a plus

Ability to think strategically, understand the big picture, and connect technical solutions to business outcomes

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data warehousing, data mining, and business intelligence solutions

Familiarity with data visualization or statistical tools (e.g., Tableau, R)

Experience with automated deployments and source control tools (e.g., Git-based repositories, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code frameworks)
