Production Supervisor/ Trainer (Industrial)

Location: Charleston, SC

Hours: Rotating shift scheduleBachelor's degree required

A North American leader in their manufacturing niche is in search of an experienced Production Supervisor with experience in on-the-job training for our newest manufacturing facility in Charleston, SC. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Manufacturing/Production Supervisor is integral to the Next Generation WIN Teams (NGWT). The Manufacturing/Production Supervisor will ensure that their team has the resources and understanding needed to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals. Create, implement training programs to coach and develop training  for teammates. Helps create and deliver performance metrics, evaluates productivity, and helps workers  complete long-term development plans within the Chemical Value Stream organization.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Drive and manage Safety throughout the department and train teammates in a safe
  • Expert knowledge of machines and
  • Coaches and develops teammates to perform essential job
  • Develop, implement and monitor training
  • Create training schedules and coordinate with
  • Conduct classroom and on-the-job training and testing of
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coach performance feedback with
  • Build solid cross-functional relationships with other
  • Update all training for teammate records and
  • Participate and/or lead lean events as
  • Creates, updates and trains teammates to Standard Work, Control Plans and JSA’s.
  • Facilitates problem-solving among
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for the
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and
  • Drives TPM activities.
  • Works with Process Engineer to improve performance of
  • Successfully complete Next Generation WIN Team Overview


  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of mechanically based technical experience in Industrial Manufacturing
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment with limited
  • Previous experience training and coaching teammates in
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Shift work and overtime Weekend and holiday support, as needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to zero incident safety culture, teammate engagement, active teamwork, continuous improvement while practicing corporate target behaviors
