Litigation Paralegal
A leading Am Law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys on complex litigation matters from case inception through discovery, trial, post-trial proceedings, and appeals. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and experience supporting document-intensive matters in a fast-paced law firm environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support litigation matters throughout all phases, including discovery, trial, post-trial proceedings, and appeals.
- Organize and maintain case files, documents, databases, and electronic case rooms.
- Prepare documents for Bates numbering, redaction, duplication, scanning, and indexing.
- Coordinate with litigation support and e-discovery vendors.
- Review discovery and prepare chronologies, indices, summaries, and other case materials.
- Conduct database searches and factual research.
- Coordinate depositions and prepare witness files and exhibits.
- Assist with the preparation of motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Bluebook, cite-check, proofread, and assist with finalizing court filings.
- Coordinate electronic filings and service of process.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and courtroom support.
- Maintain accurate time records and meet annual billing expectations.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Previous law firm experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and case management.
- Experience with document-intensive litigation and e-discovery.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and iManage or similar document management systems.
- Experience with Relativity, Concordance, or Case Logistix preferred.
- Strong Bluebook, proofreading, and cite-checking skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
