Analyst – Client Intelligence

A leading law firm is seeking an Analyst – Client Intelligence to support data-driven business and client development decisions. This role will use structured research, data analysis, and reporting to strengthen the Firm’s understanding of its practices, clients, matters, and market. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, highly organized, and comfortable working with data and technology in a fast-paced professional services environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and categorize work entering the Firm using structured research techniques and established client and matter taxonomies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Firm’s practices, clients, matters, and broader market.
  • Review and validate data by combining external intelligence with internal Firm information.
  • Develop expertise in the InTapp system and use that knowledge to enhance the matter intake process.
  • Leverage Firm data and technology resources to develop, improve, and maintain reporting solutions.
  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights and help stakeholders understand and apply findings.
  • Support decision-making by identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within Firm and client data.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between data resources and internal stakeholders, anticipating reporting and analytical needs.
  • Collaborate with teams across the Firm to support client intelligence, business operations, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, information security, client service, and professional excellence.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–7 years of experience in a professional services environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, enterprise CRM systems, and other technology platforms preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively in day-to-day work.
  • Ability to understand how detailed, micro-level data decisions can impact broader Firm objectives.
  • Strong judgment and a results-oriented, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests from different levels within a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into clear, useful information for internal stakeholders.
