ECVC & IP Event Coordinator

 

New York, NY | Hybrid

A leading law firm is seeking an ECVC & IP Event Coordinator to support events and client engagement initiatives for its Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) and Intellectual Property practices. The ideal candidate will have strong event coordination and organizational skills, excellent client-service abilities, and familiarity with wine, wine service protocols, and fine dining. This role requires occasional travel and flexibility to support events outside standard business hours.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and support ECVC and IP events, client programs, receptions, and other firm-sponsored activities.
  • Manage event logistics, including venues, vendors, catering, guest lists, invitations, and event materials.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure successful events.
  • Assist with wine selection, service, and fine-dining arrangements.
  • Support event setup, execution, and breakdown as needed.
  • Track event details, timelines, budgets, and related administrative requirements.
  • Coordinate occasional travel and logistics for events in the New York and New Jersey areas.
  • Provide support for occasional events in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Work flexible hours when necessary, including occasional early mornings or evenings.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in event coordination, hospitality, client services, or a similar role, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Knowledge of wine, wine service protocols, and fine dining is required.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
  • Professional communication and client-service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Flexibility to work occasional early mornings and late evenings.
  • Willingness to travel locally within NYC, Roseland, NJ, and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event-related technology.
