What You’ll Do:

Manage all phases of estate and trust administration, including probate and post-mortem tasks.

Prepare and file probate and administration documents in New York, New Jersey, and/or Florida.

Draft fiduciary accountings, asset distribution schedules, and trust funding documents.

Prepare and file federal and state estate tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and state equivalents).

Communicate regularly with clients, accountants, financial advisors, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate asset valuations, transfers, and deed work.

Track critical deadlines and maintain matter status reports.

Collaborate with attorneys and provide litigation support in contested estate matters, if needed.

Use estate tax and document preparation software to streamline tasks and maintain accuracy.
What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Trust & Estates Paralegal in a law firm or trust company.

Proven expertise in probate procedures in at least one of the following states: NY, NJ, or FL.

Advanced knowledge of estate tax filings, including Forms 706 and 709.

Proficiency in ONESOURCE/Fast Tax, HotDocs, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Strong organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate required (JD/paralegal hybrid candidates will be considered).

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience with iManage or other document management systems is a plus.

Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
