Senior IP Litigation Paralegal

 

 

A leading Am Law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior IP Litigation Paralegal to support sophisticated intellectual property litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of IP litigation experience, including significant experience with U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) Section 337 matters, USPTO proceedings, and complex discovery. This role will also provide opportunities to mentor and guide junior paralegals.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support complex patent litigation matters in federal district courts.
  • Assist with matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
  • Support Federal Circuit appeals and other intellectual property proceedings.
  • Manage paper and electronic discovery throughout the litigation process.
  • Manage patent file histories, depositions, transcripts, and trial materials.
  • Coordinate large-scale document productions and document review projects.
  • Work closely with Litigation Support, E-Discovery teams, and external vendors.
  • Manage electronic databases, including loading, searching, reviewing, tagging, coding, production, and privilege logs.
  • Assist with drafting motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
  • Bluebook, cite-check, proofread, and finalize legal filings.
  • Coordinate electronic filings and service of process.
  • Assist with trial preparation and courtroom support.
  • Train and mentor junior paralegals and provide guidance on complex litigation matters.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of IP litigation paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience managing or supervising Section 337 matters before the U.S. ITC is required.
  • Experience with USPTO inter partes review (IPR) and re-examination proceedings.
  • Strong experience managing complex discovery and litigation databases.
  • High-level proficiency with litigation support and document review platforms.
  • Experience with CM/ECF electronic filing.
  • Strong understanding of patent litigation procedures and terminology.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with attorneys and litigation support teams.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior paralegals.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
