A leading law firm is seeking a Business Development Analyst – Litigation to support senior partners and the Business Development team in developing new business, strengthening client relationships, and expanding the Firm’s litigation profile. This role offers exposure to high-profile litigation matters and strategic business development initiatives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
What You’ll Do
- Develop pitches, RFP responses, presentations, and other business development materials that highlight the Firm’s litigation capabilities and experience.
- Support partners with client development initiatives, relationship-building efforts, and visibility opportunities.
- Research prospective clients, companies, industries, litigation trends, and potential business opportunities.
- Prepare submissions for Chambers USA and other legal directories, coordinating deadlines, partner feedback, and references.
- Monitor news and developments relevant to the Firm’s Litigation practices.
- Maintain and update attorney biographies, practice materials, matter descriptions, and other marketing content.
- Maintain accurate records of client outreach, pitches, meetings, trainings, and other business development activities in CRM and experience management systems.
- Coordinate conference sponsorship requests and collaborate on client and Firm events.
- Partner with Communications, Events, Competitive Intelligence, and Creative Services teams on business development and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure all Firm and client information is handled in accordance with information security and confidentiality requirements.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of business development experience in a law firm, financial institution, or professional services environment.
- Prior experience supporting litigation practices within a top-tier U.S. law firm is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, and research skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Understanding of the litigation lifecycle, terminology, courts, and regulators.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests while consistently producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, CRM and experience management platforms, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a polished, professional approach when working with senior attorneys and staff.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to incorporate feedback effectively.
