Business Development Analyst – Real Estate, Estates & Personal, Tax

A leading law firm is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support strategic business development initiatives across its Real Estate, Sports, Tax, Estates & Personal, and broader General practice groups. The role works closely with partners and Business Development, Communications, Creative Services, Events, and other teams to develop compelling marketing materials, conduct market research, strengthen practice visibility, and support client development efforts.
What You’ll Do
- Support partners in developing targeted pitch books, RFP responses, deal sheets, and other business development materials.
- Assist with submissions to league tables, legal directories, guides, surveys, and other industry rankings.
- Conduct competitive intelligence research and provide insights on market trends and developments.
- Monitor Firm news, track significant wins, and maintain practice experience databases and CRM records.
- Edit, fact-check, proofread, and assemble materials to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Support the content and coordination of marketing conferences, client events, and other initiatives in partnership with the Events team.
- Maintain accurate records of pitches, meetings, outreach, and other business development activities in the Firm’s CRM.
- Maintain and update lawyer biographies across print, digital, and external platforms.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure marketing materials, practice information, and lawyer profiles remain current.
- Partner with Communications and Digital Marketing teams to support practice visibility across internal and external channels.
- Handle sensitive Firm and client information in accordance with security, confidentiality, and information management policies.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in a law firm, financial institution, or professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; JD or Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience communicating with senior partners or executives.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, and research skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests across different lawyers and time zones.
- Understanding of transactional terminology and processes, with a basic understanding of litigation terminology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM, Dynamics, Access, or SharePoint is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
