Our client, a respected and growing organization in the design, manufacturing and distribution space, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position offers a dynamic mix of hands-on accounting responsibilities, from inventory and payroll to journal entries and tax filings. What You'll Be Doing:In this highly visible role, you’ll take the lead on a variety of accounting and operational functions, including:

  • Managing and maintaining the general ledger, project codes, and department accounts

  • Setting up and reviewing posting groups to ensure system accuracy

  • Overseeing bank reconciliations and validating daily reports

  • Calculating monthly fringe benefits and handling reclass entries

  • Preparing monthly payroll accruals and managing payroll tax returns

  • Administering 1099 records and ensuring timely submission

  • Uploading ACH and POSPAY files through the bank’s online platform

  • Leading inventory cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies with warehouse supervisors

  • Verifying inventory receipts and ensuring accurate ERP flow

  • Reviewing sales and purchase transactions, warehouse transfers, and inventory movements

  • Approving inventory adjustments and monitoring manual entries

  • Entering journal entries into the accounting system with precision

  • Serving as a key point of contact for payroll concerns and processing commissions

  • Providing backup support across the accounting department as needed

  • Tackling special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA designation strongly preferred

  • 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a complex environment

  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly with minimal supervision

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

  • A detail-driven mindset with the ability to reconcile data and meet tight deadlines
