My biotech client seeks a US-based Head of Business Development for global out-licensing of biological therapeutic assets.
The ideal candidate will take on the following responsibilities:
· Scout and evaluate potential partners through rigorous global market analysis and competitive intelligence.
· Collaborate with internal teams to assess the portfolio's licensing potential, weighing market dynamics and regulatory pathways.
· Lead all deal mechanics — asset valuations, term sheet development, and negotiations — with particular focus on financial structures and milestone frameworks.
· Build and present persuasive business cases to prospective partners that drive deal momentum.
· Oversee the ongoing performance of licensed assets and hold partners accountable to contractual commitments.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
· 10+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical business development and licensing.
· Deep fluency of the biopharma field and its current and future needs.
· Sharp business acumen, negotiation skills, and demonstrated attention to detail with a focus on achieving quality outcomes.
· Relationship builder who earns trust through integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
· Commitment to excellence with a track record of driving meaningful, value-added results.
· Exceptionally organized, with the ability to juggle competing priorities, shifting timelines, and complex deliverables without losing focus or momentum.
This role is remote and the candidate must be based on the East Coast.
