Senior Director of Strategic Development and Physician Engagement
My medical device client is expanding and seeks a Senior Director for a new position in their marketing organization. The ideal candidate will take on the following responsibilities:
- Lead and harmonize KOL engagement strategies within marketing and cross functional groups.
- Oversee efforts to obtain voice-of-customer through Advisory Boards and other company-wide physician engagement activities.
- Direct the development and implementation of a Global Clinical Evidence and Publication Strategy for the portfolio.
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the healthcare and medical device sectors by researching market trends, competitors, and potential partners.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and R&D teams to align offerings with market needs and customer feedback.
- Provide cross-divisional leadership as part of the annual strategic planning process.
- Direct and develop a high-performing team focused on collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- BS degree and 15+ years’ experience in strategic leadership roles within the medial device or healthcare industries.
- Proven track record in physician engagement, market strategy development, new business development and product management.
- Must be an effective leader in a matrixed environment and possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interact well with physicians, customers, and KOLs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning processes required.
- Working knowledge of wireless communication technologies, clinical systems and their application in the healthcare environment, preferred.
- Ability to travel ~40%
