Senior Scientist, Computational Protein Engineer 

 

Our client is a leading biotech firm, leveraging cutting-edge computational approaches to advance antibody and protein engineering.  They seek a Senior Scientist, Computational Protein Engineer to conduct both computational and experimental work for cutting-edge applications.

 

The ideal candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement computational platforms for protein and antibody design, working closely with multidisciplinary scientific teams
  • Create and deploy AI-driven workflows for protein structure prediction and analysis
  • Drive technical initiatives in protein docking, epitope mapping, and computational design pipelines
  • Synthesize diverse datasets to refine protein interaction predictions and guide experimental strategies
  • Communicate scientific findings and strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Build and mentor technical teams while overseeing project execution and individual development plans

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: 

  • PhD in computational biology or similar discipline plus 2+ years experience
  • Deep expertise in protein modeling and antibody-antigen interaction prediction
  • AlphaFold or similar experience, preferred
  • Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating impact in de novo protein design, antibody engineering, or enzyme optimization
  • Background in machine learning and AI applications strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex, multi-faceted projects
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to diverse audiences
