The Opportunity
Own critical facilities operations for a Fortune 500 organization in a 100%-uptime environment. Base salary $150,000-$185,000 plus 20% performance bonus. This is the single point of contact role for mission-critical infrastructure where your technical decisions directly impact business continuity. You'll control sophisticated systems worth millions, build and lead engineering teams, and drive operational excellence with real autonomy backed by Fortune 500 resources.
What You'll Do
- Run mission-critical infrastructure: power systems, UPS, PDUs, cooling, HVAC, generators, BMS, fire/life safety
- Own preventative maintenance strategy ensuring zero unplanned downtime across all critical assets
- Build and lead technical teams through hiring, development, succession planning, and performance management
- Control compliance programs, emergency response protocols, and regulatory adherence
- Drive operational and capital budgets with accountability for cost optimization and ROI
- Partner directly with C-suite and senior leadership as their trusted facilities expert
- Lead change control processes and present technical recommendations to executive teams
What You Bring
- 7-10 years managing critical facilities operations (data center, healthcare, or mission-critical environments)
- Deep technical knowledge: electrical systems, mechanical systems, BMS, fire/life safety
- Strong understanding of one-line drawings, blueprints, and CAD
- Proven budget management and cost optimization track record
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Technical certifications preferred (CCFM, EPA, electrical license)
- Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
