MEP Office Leader - Pharma
You have spent a significant part of your career on pharma work. Complex projects, demanding clients, and you're known in the DC/Baltimore/Fredericksburg market well enough that you do not need an introduction to the players in the MD pharma scene. Are you in a #2 role and eager to take the helm?
That is what this is. Our client is a firm that works exclusively in pharmaceutical and biotech, and they are opening a mid-Atlantic office. They need someone to lead it. That means owning the relationships, driving business development, overseeing project delivery, and building a team around you over time. This is a real leadership seat, not a senior engineering role with a BD footnote.
Because the firm only works in life sciences, you are never the generalist in the room. Every project, every client conversation, every hire is in the same world you have been working in for your entire career. For someone who has gone deep in this sector, that is a different kind of place to work.
There are already a few people working in MD. You are not starting from nothing.
What the role involves: building and managing client relationships across the region's pharma and biotech community, leading proposals, overseeing MEP or process engineering work, and growing the office headcount as the work grows.
What you need to bring: a PE license in electrical, mechanical, or process engineering, real experience on pharma facilities, and relationships in the DC/Baltimore life sciences market that you have earned, not inherited.
If you are ready for this step in your career, let's talk.
