Senior Electrical Engineer
K. Jacobs is partnering with a multidisciplinary design and construction management firm to identify a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Boston office. This individual will take a leading role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, and healthcare facilities across the region.

What You’ll Do

Lead the design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage networks

Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth

Attend project and client meetings, presenting solutions clearly and confidently

Contribute to proposals, reports, and technical evaluations

Perform calculations, equipment sizing, and layout development for building systems

Prepare drawings, specifications, and detailed technical documentation
-
Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs

Conduct site assessments, field observations, and provide construction-phase support (shop drawings, RFIs, etc.)

Oversee quality assurance reviews and maintain design standards
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license
-
8+ years of relevant building-systems design experience
-
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools

Strong grasp of current electrical codes, standards, and sustainable design practices
-
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
-
Proven ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- LEED Accreditation preferred
