K. Jacobs is partnering with a multidisciplinary design and construction management firm to identify a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Boston office. This individual will take a leading role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, and healthcare facilities across the region.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage networks

• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth

• Attend project and client meetings, presenting solutions clearly and confidently

• Contribute to proposals, reports, and technical evaluations

• Perform calculations, equipment sizing, and layout development for building systems

• Prepare drawings, specifications, and detailed technical documentation

• Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs

• Conduct site assessments, field observations, and provide construction-phase support (shop drawings, RFIs, etc.)

• Oversee quality assurance reviews and maintain design standards

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license 

• 8+ years of relevant building-systems design experience

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools

• Strong grasp of current electrical codes, standards, and sustainable design practices

• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines 

• LEED Accreditation preferred
