Construction Superintendent

My Client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent, preferably with strong familiarity with the Topeka, Kansas market. We are looking for a self-motivated, driven construction professional who takes ownership of the field operations and plays a key role in the successful planning and execution of our projects.

The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, manage field operations, coordinate change orders, monitor budgets, and maintain quality control throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and document daily field reports, two-week look-ahead schedules, and safety reports in accordance with company standards.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and site conditions.
• Oversee and coordinate internal and external construction crews throughout the duration of the project.
• Monitor the project schedule and communicate progress, potential delays, and key developments to Project Managers and ownership. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed within established schedule and budget requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the project schedule when possible.
• Serve as the primary field liaison with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other companies providing materials or services to ensure work is properly coordinated and completed on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure all workers receive appropriate training and have the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their work safely.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the owner's needs and expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project, while supporting the development and maintenance of strong client relationships.
