Structural Engineer

K. Jacobs is recruiting for a talented Structural Engineer with at least 3 years of professional experience. This full-time position is part of a thriving engineering team focused on diverse projects across New England, covering sectors like commercial, industrial, healthcare, and government.  

Role Overview:

As a Structural Engineer, you’ll contribute to essential tasks in design and project planning, collaborating closely with experienced engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting structural calculations under guidance, aligned with the latest codes and design standards.
• Leveraging design software (e.g., Ram, Enercalc, RetainPro) for project solutions.
• Assisting with Revit for creating and refining project drawings and sketches.
• Performing on-site surveys to document conditions and ensure project compliance.
• Adapting your schedule to meet project timelines as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering design software.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or willingness to obtain it within 6-12 months, is advantageous.
• Strong technical abilities with clear, effective communication skills are essential.
