Project Manager
K. Jacobs is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a growing specialty subcontractor to oversee the design and installation of high-performance temperature and humidity-controlled environments for critical facilities in the life sciences and research sectors. Projects range in size from $70K to $3M and involve insulated panel construction and coordination of MEP trades.
The ideal candidate brings both technical fluency and field management experience, with a hands-on approach and strong organizational skills.
In this role, you will:

Manage on-site activities, schedules, and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious project delivery

Review submittals, drawings, and construction documentation

Lead procurement and subcontract buyouts

Prepare and process change orders as needed

Maintain quality and compliance with contract requirements and codes
Qualifications:

Strong background in commercial construction, ideally with experience coordinating MEP work

Familiarity with cold storage, cleanrooms, or environmental chambers is a plus

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Ability to manage several concurrent projects

Occasional overnight travel may be required
