Project Manager

K. Jacobs is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a growing specialty subcontractor to oversee the design and installation of high-performance temperature and humidity-controlled environments for critical facilities in the life sciences and research sectors. Projects range in size from $70K to $3M and involve insulated panel construction and coordination of MEP trades.

The ideal candidate brings both technical fluency and field management experience, with a hands-on approach and strong organizational skills.

In this role, you will:

• Manage on-site activities, schedules, and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious project delivery

• Review submittals, drawings, and construction documentation

• Lead procurement and subcontract buyouts

• Prepare and process change orders as needed

• Maintain quality and compliance with contract requirements and codes

Qualifications:

• Strong background in commercial construction, ideally with experience coordinating MEP work

• Familiarity with cold storage, cleanrooms, or environmental chambers is a plus

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

• Ability to manage several concurrent projects

• Occasional overnight travel may be required
