Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Trainer / Instructor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and safety-driven Aviation Maintenance Trainer/Instructor to join our training team. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs to ensure aviation maintenance personnel are proficient in all aspects of aircraft systems, regulatory compliance, and operational safety. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, a strong understanding of FAA regulations, and a passion for mentoring and developing future aviation professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver classroom, on-the-job (OJT), and hands-on technical training to maintenance technicians, apprentices, and other aviation professionals.

· Develop and maintain course materials, manuals, presentations, and assessments aligned with regulatory and company standards.

· Ensure training content complies with FAA Part 145/Part 147, OEM guidelines, and internal quality standards.

· Provide instruction on aircraft systems, inspections, repair techniques, troubleshooting, documentation, safety, and regulatory procedures.

· Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback to promote competency and continuous improvement.

· Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

· Participate in audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives related to training effectiveness.

· Stay up to date with industry trends, technical advancements, and changes in regulations to ensure course relevance.

· Support the onboarding and orientation of new maintenance personnel.

· Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance leadership to identify training needs and tailor content accordingly.


Qualifications:

· Required:

o   High school diploma or equivalent.

o   Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, or formal training delivery.

o   Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Preferred:

o   Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, or formal training delivery.

o   Previous teaching or training experience in an aviation-related program or Part 147 school.

o   Familiarity with eLearning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

o   Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Education, or related field.

o   FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification.

o   Knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft systems, and maintenance best practices.


Physical & Other Requirements:

· Must be able to work in classroom and hangar environments.

· May involve standing for extended periods, lifting training materials, and demonstrating technical tasks.

· Flexibility to travel as needed to support remote training events or multiple locations.
