Tax Accountant / Wealth Management Professional
Location: Beaver, PA (In-Office | Local Candidates Only)
Our client, a small and well-established wealth & tax management practice in Beaver, PA, with approximately twenty employees, is seeking a Tax Accountant / Wealth Management Professional to join their team. This is a unique hybrid opportunity ideal for a tax professional who not only enjoys personal tax planning and preparation but is also interested in expanding into the wealth management side of the business. Additionally, this position would include managing a small to medium group of wealth management clients during the non-peak tax season in addition to supporting the tax team with tax reduction planning meetings from May through the beginning of December.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for running and supporting year-round tax reduction planning meetings and preparing/reviewing personal tax returns, while also supporting the wealth management team and individual advisors throughout the year. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in individual tax planning and tax preparation and also enjoys client interaction, and building long-term financial relationships.
This position is fully in-office and best suited for someone looking for stability, variety, and a more balanced professional rhythm outside of traditional public accounting cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax reduction planning, preparing and reviewing individual federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Provide tax planning and advisory support to advisors and clients throughout the year
- Collaborate with advisors to integrate tax strategies into overall wealth management and financial planning
- Assist with client meetings, documentation, and follow-up related to tax and planning matters
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations and deadlines
- Support client communications and ongoing relationship management
Qualifications
- Strong background in individual tax planning and preparation (all aspects of personal returns)
- Experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
- CPA and/or EA preferred; public accounting experience strongly desired
- Solid understanding of tax planning strategies and implications for high-net-worth individuals
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Ability to manage confidentiality and sensitive financial information
