Are you an experienced nurse leader ready to shape the clinical vision of a high-performing specialty hospital? We’re looking for a mission-driven Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our executive team and lead nursing and clinical operations with purpose, strategy, and heart.
About the Hospital
64-bed specialty hospital
Average Daily Census: 45–55
Reports directly to the CEO and serves on the senior leadership team
Oversees ~50 direct reports across multiple departments
What You’ll Lead
As CNO, you’ll provide strategic and operational oversight for:
Registered Nurses (RNs) and Rehab Nursing Techs (RNTs)
Education & Infection Prevention
Wound Care & Dialysis
Scheduling, Respiratory Therapy, and Dietary Services
You'll be responsible for staffing strategy (1:8 nurse-patient ratio), compliance, policy development, budget management, and performance improvement across nursing and allied health teams.
What You Bring
Current RN license (unrestricted, as per Colorado regulations)
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
CRRN certification (or willingness to obtain within a year of eligibility)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required (Advanced degree or plan to obtain strongly preferred)
5+ years of inpatient hospital experience
2+ years of recent nursing management experience with responsibilities including:
24/7 accountability
FTE oversight
Budget and policy leadership
Disciplinary procedures
Performance-based bonus program
