Perioperative Services Manager

Are you a seasoned perioperative leader who thrives in close-knit teams and hands-on environments? Our award-winning Critical Access Hospital is seeking a dedicated Perioperative Services Manager to lead and elevate our surgical team while directly contributing to exceptional patient care.
 
About the Role
 
As a working manager, you’ll oversee and coordinate all aspects of surgical services, ensuring smooth daily operations across two operating rooms and a talented team of approximately 12 staff. This includes circulators, scrub techs, Pre/PACU nurses, SPD, and scheduling. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining high clinical standards, fostering a positive culture, and continuously improving workflow in collaboration with surgeons and the CNO.
  • 2 Operating Rooms
  • ~50 surgical cases/month
  • 12-person interdisciplinary surgical team
  • Reports directly to CNO
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Lead, supervise, and support surgical services staff—including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
 
Ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, high-quality perioperative care.
 
Collaborate with providers to align surgical workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
 
Monitor budgets, manage surgical resources, and oversee equipment and supply needs.
 
Implement process improvements and clinical best practices across the department.
 
Actively participate in direct care as needed—this is a hands-on leadership role.
 
What You Bring
 
Minimum 5 years of perioperative or clinical leadership experience (required)
 
Previous management experience in surgical services (required)
 
BLS certification (required for non-licensed managers)
 
ACLS certification (required for licensed/clinical leaders)
 
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
 
A passion for rural health, continuous improvement, and surgical excellence
