About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Imaging Service Engineer I to join our Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) team. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of sophisticated imaging systems within a hospital setting. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining equipment reliability and providing exceptional service to healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment such as CT, C-arm, portable X-ray, and ultrasound systems.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues with imaging equipment, leveraging both technical skills and customer service proficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with clinical staff to address and solve equipment-related challenges.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of service activities and ensure accurate record-keeping within the department's tracking systems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field. Military or OEM training is advantageous.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for clinical device maintenance and repair, or one year specifically focused on imaging equipment.
• Proficiency in using test equipment, tools, and diagnostic software to address technical issues.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
• Experience working effectively within a hospital or healthcare environment.

Position Summary

The Imaging Service Engineer I plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing diagnostic imaging equipment. This position requires interaction with clinical health providers to identify and resolve technology-based problems while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and services is also part of the role.
