We’re working with a well-established insurance brokerage that is looking to add a Certificate Coordinator to support their Property & Casualty team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Location: San Diego, CA – in-office during training, then hybrid optional
Salary: Salary: $60,000–$75,000
Responsibilities
- Issuing certificates of insurance for renewals, new business, and daily requests
- Reviewing contract requirements to ensure certificates are issued accurately and compliantly
- Maintaining and updating certificate tracking spreadsheets (certificate holders, named insureds, addresses, etc.)
- Updating templates, named insured information, and endorsements within the certificate system
- Reviewing policy details to determine appropriate endorsements and requesting updates as needed
- Sending current certificate requirements and contracts to confirm coverage compliance
- Processing and requesting necessary forms and endorsements
- Providing support and backup for all certificate-related workflows
- Assisting with front desk responsibilities and cross-functional team support as needed
Qualifications:
- Insurance industry experience (P&C preferred)
- Certificate Management Systems (experience preferred)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to review contracts and apply coverage requirements appropriately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
