An established wound care practice with more than 20 years of operating history is hiring a Nurse Practitioner provide mobile, in-home wound care in Nashville, TN. You will see patients in their homes, travel locally between visits, and work independently with the backing of an experienced medical practice. This is a clinical medical practice and not a skin-substitute-focused clinic. Structured training, customized charting protocols and a wound care reference book written by the practice's physician are provided to help you document efficiently and finish your charting during the day.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, about 8:00 or 8:30 AM to 4:00 or 5:00 PM
• A minimum of 6 patients a day and about 30 to 40 patient visits a week
• A four-day workweek is available to providers who consistently meet the weekly visit requirement
• Local driving between patient homes, generally within your home county or an adjacent county and usually under 100 miles a day. Overnight travel is not standard

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds in their homes
• Perform wound assessments and wound care procedures, and develop and update treatment plans
• Document each visit in AdvancedMD using the practice's wound care protocols
• Coordinate care with the practice's physicians, patients, families and caregivers
• Meet daily and weekly productivity expectations

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee, or the ability to obtain one
• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program. 
• Comfortable working independently in the field, traveling locally, and charting efficiently
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Interest in wound care. Prior wound care experience is not required

Preferred

• About one year of experience, with enough independent practice to feel comfortable writing orders. Recent graduates and experienced APPs are both encouraged to apply

• $120,000 base salary

• $60 per day gas stipend on days you see at least 2 patients
