Human Resources Operations Contractor

(HR Operations / People Operations – Contract Role)

Position Summary

The Human Resources Operations Contractor provides administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, HR data entry, and HRIS administration. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of employee records, timely processing of HR transactions, and coordination of employee onboarding and offboarding activities while supporting HR team initiatives and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.


Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Data Management

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS
    • Paylocity experience required
    • SuccessFactors preferred  
  • Perform high-volume HR data entry related to new hires, job changes, transfers, and terminations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data through routine audits and data validation.
  • Maintain employee personnel files in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Onboarding Administration

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including background checks, documentation, and system setup.
  • Prepare and track new hire paperwork and employment documentation.
  • Schedule orientation sessions and communicate onboarding logistics to employees and hiring managers.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, IT, Payroll, and HR Business Partners to ensure a seamless new hire experience.

Offboarding Administration

  • Manage the employee offboarding process, including HRIS updates, documentation, and exit procedures.
  • Coordinate with IT and internal teams to ensure system access removal and equipment return.
  • Track termination documentation and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Support exit interview coordination and data tracking.

Administrative HR Support

  • Provide general administrative support for HR initiatives and projects.
  • Assist with process documentation, SOP updates, and HR operational improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or People Operations roles.
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity required, SuccessFactors preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in high-volume data entry and administrative processing.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting onboarding and offboarding processes in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance and employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in contract or high-growth environments managing multiple HR transactions simultaneously.
