Project Engineer – Geotechnical | Full-Time, Onsite (El Dorado Hills, CA)
Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 + Excellent Benefits + Real Career Growth
Location: El Dorado Hills, CA
A leading geotechnical consulting firm in the El Dorado Hills/Sacramento region is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a longstanding, multi-disciplinary engineering team. What You Will Do
You’ll play a key role across the full project lifecycle—from conceptual development to final completion—working on a diverse portfolio of geotechnical and construction-related projects. Responsibilities include:

Leading engineering analyses and supervising technical workflows for geotechnical projects

Interpreting geotechnical, construction materials, and analytical laboratory test data

Preparing and reviewing geotechnical reports, scopes of work, and proposals

Reviewing grading and foundation plans for compliance with recommendations

Managing multiple clients and concurrent projects with precision

Conducting marketing, administrative, and client-facing duties

Collaborating cross-functionally while maintaining the ability to work independently
What You Bring
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

B.S. in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)

Active California PE registration
-
5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering

5+ years of construction-related experience, including understanding of materials used in construction

Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal

Strong organizational capabilities and ability to manage multiple project streams

Proven experience interpreting lab data and applying results to engineering analyses
