Opportunity Highlights:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company in a hands-on role. The hiring manager is committed to training and development, and while experience in manufacturing is a plus, it is not required. We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in General Ledger accounting and financial close processes. The ideal individual will be comfortable with both transactional tasks and high-level analysis, demonstrating a willingness to contribute across the full spectrum of accounting functions.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on Senior Accountant position reporting directly to the Controller. As the sole finance and accounting team member besides the Controller, you will play a critical role in managing all accounting operations for a growing company with approximately 80 employees globally. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact and gain broad experience across various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach. Experience in the medical device, product design, or manufacturing industries is highly desired. The company is currently using QuickBooks and transitioning to NetSuite later this year or by July 2025 at the latest.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) processes, including weekly review and approval of invoices, utilizing Bill.com for automation.
  • Manage accounts receivable (AR) processes, including bi-weekly invoicing and crediting, monthly collections, and leveraging Bill.com for streamlined operations.
  • Perform weekly revenue reporting and analysis.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll (approximately 1 hour per payroll cycle due to automation).
  • Execute wire payments and manage banking activities.
  • Calculate and process quarterly royalty payments.
  • Review the general ledger and provide guidance to an outsourced accounting team.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue, headcount, and month-end reports.
  • Calculate quarterly inventory adjustments.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support year-end activities, including 1099 and 571-L reporting.
  • Facilitate external and internal audits.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and reporting as needed.
  • Participate in the upcoming NetSuite system conversion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in general accounting.
  • Experience working in the medical device, product design, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience with automated AP and AR systems (e.g., Bill.com) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced accountant to join a dynamic company and contribute significantly to its financial success.
