Trademark Associate Attorney

Our client, a distinguished AmLaw 50 global law firm, is seeking a talented Trademark Associate Attorney to join their dynamic Trademark/Copyright team in New York. This group advises an impressive array of clients, including some of the world’s largest trademark portfolio holders, on a wide range of trademark and copyright matters. With a practice that spans domestic and international jurisdictions, this team is at the forefront of innovation in trademark and copyright law.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in New York.
  • 3-5 years of substantive experience in trademark and copyright matters, including litigation.
  • Interested in expanding on their litigation experience to integrate more counseling and contentious work.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including clearance, prosecution, and litigation.
  • Represent clients in TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings, trademark and copyright infringement actions, and related contentious matters.
  • Manage large-scale multinational trademark clearance projects, providing strategic and practical advice tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Draft and negotiate agreements related to intellectual property rights, including licensing and coexistence agreements.
  • Offer thoughtful and innovative counsel on sophisticated trademark and copyright issues for a diverse client base.
