Job Title:  Assembler

Primary Job Description:  Responsible for assembling and testing manufactured equipment to meet design specifications. The role involves the operation of various assembly department equipment and tools, as well as reading and understanding blueprints, ensuring precise assembly, recognizing different inventory items, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining safety and quality control standards.

Primary Job Duties:

• Operate and demonstrate proficiency with all assembly department equipment and tools required for the job, including forklifts, overhead cranes, power tools, measuring equipment, torque wrenches, and basic hand tools.
• Read and comprehend basic blueprints including symbols, bill of material, revisions, and detail drawings.
• Assemble components according to design specifications using step-by-step procedures to ensure accurate assembly.
• Recognize and differentiate between inventory items such as fasteners, bearings, pulleys, motors, rollers, drives.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the assembly process.
• Perform quality control procedures to maintain precision and accuracy in the assembled products. 
• Complete assembly tasks while strictly adhering to all safety procedures.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe and organized work area.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in assembly or position that requires mechanical ability and the use of basic hand tools or the ability to think mechanically.
• High attention to detail and precision.
• Knowledge of assembly equipment and tools.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities. 
• Demonstrate commitment to safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly techniques and procedures.

Salary Grade: Hourly Nonexempt

Hours: 40-49 per week
