My client a pavement markings company located at 6511 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON M1C 1L5 offers the application of road paint, field-reacted polymeric, thermoplastic, spray MMA as well as the removal of pavement markings via water-blasting and rotary grinders.
Urgently seeking a Pavement Marking Applicator (Line Painter) (NOC 75110) to join the team of specialists. This position will involve working with field-reacted polymeric and methyl methacrylate chemicals including testing, composition, and application ratios.
Duties include:
- Painting of various pavement marking surfaces, especially roadways within high-traffic areas.
- Mark out traffic lanes, bike lanes, intersections, and other designated areas
- Assist with setting up and taking down of traffic signs
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operate and maintain equipment used for road painting
- Conduct quality control on applied markings
- Work as part of onsite roads crew and assist co-workers with other duties
- Follow directions from supervisors, or other authorities on sites
Job Requirements:
Essential
- Minimum 3+ years experience as a general labourer
- Familiarity working with operating and general maintenance of heavy-duty trucks
- Must have a general knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area & surrounding areas
- Good command of the English language.
- Training provided. Must be willing to learn.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have safety boots
Preferred
- Chemical Engineering degree/diploma, or related education, is an asset
- General understanding of chemical composition, is an asset
- Demonstrated quality control on projects
- Experience with tracking work completed and completing necessary paperwork
Employment terms:

- Hours of Work: Must be willing to work shifts. Must be flexible to work Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm (with overtime as required) and/or Sunday-Thursday NIGHTS: 8pm-5am (with overtime as req'd)
- Rate of Pay : $19-$20/hour
- Duration: seasonal contract
- Working Conditions: works as part of the onsite road crew.
