                                                   Project Engineer 
                            Salary : $ 85,000.00- $ 130,000.00

Texas- heavy manufacture is seeking a Project Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical support to a manufacturing plant for design, implementation, assessment, and troubleshooting of manufacturing procedures and equipment, along with product assembly at customer sites.  The employee will manage projects related to new products, new equipment, plant upgrades, and tooling designs. Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge maintain the organization’s competitive edge.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·         BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Related Engineering Discipline, Preferred

·         Minimum Five (5) Years’ Related Experience, Required

·         Experience in Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Processes, Required

·         AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor Experience, Preferred

·         Lean Manufacturing, A Plus

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with clients, management, and production staff

·         Ability to apply basic engineering principles to solve construction engineering issues

·         Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills with ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

·         Creativity to brainstorm new ideas, develop or improve devices so they are of good quality, meet space or weight limitations, and achieve the cost objectives of customers

·         Effective listening skills and ability to articulate goals and progress of project(s), communicate with a team of sales, research, and/or management personnel to meet the needs of customers

·         Proficient in math, science, and computer skills

·         “Team member” mentality with complementing ability to self-motivate and work with limited supervision

·         Close visual acuity, near vision, fine manipulation, upper limb coordination, and ability to sit for extended periods while performing essential job duties

·         Medium (60lbs.) lifting capability while performing essential job duties

·         Ability to work 40+ hour/week flexible schedule that may require 70% domestic and/or international travel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Analyze manufacturing and quality control processes and make recommendations for improvement

·         Calculate labor, material, and other production costs

·         Coordinate equipment maintenance as needed

·         Travel to plants/job sites to assist with troubleshooting and installation

·         Develop project schedules for internal tracking

·         Coordinate with multiple groups to produce monthly key metrics scorecard for assigned plants

·         Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues

·         Prepare and submit required reports (daily, weekly, monthly)

·         Perform any other related job duty as requested by executive management to ensure timely, accurate supply chain management
