Seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join a professional services team, serving a diverse clientele including entrepreneurs, SMEs, and non-profits. You’ll provide expert tax advice, oversee compliance, and lead a team of professionals, contributing significantly to our firm’s success and your professional growth of professionals, contributing significantly to our firm’s success and your professional growth
What you bring to the role:
- CPA Certification: Must hold a CPA designation in good standing.
- Tax Program Completion: Should have completed the CPA In-depth tax program.
- Professional Experience: At least 7 years of experience in a tax advisory role post completion of the In-depth tax program.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of GAAP/GAAS, ASPE, and Canadian Taxation is essential.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CaseWare, CaseView, and other tax preparation and research software is beneficial.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building strong relationships.
- Communication: Excellent communication abilities, with the skill to engage effectively with senior client representatives.
- Client Relations: Proven experience in developing and maintaining robust client relationships.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills are required.
What will you do:
Client Services
- Offer specialized tax advice and strategic planning tailored to each client’s unique needs
- Engage personally with clients to address inquiries, strategize, and provide consultative support.
- Lead the charge in devising and executing sophisticated tax-planning strategies
- Work hand-in-hand with clients and teams, simplifying complex tax matters into clear solutions
Tax Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, maintaining compliance with tax laws.
- Implement procedures to uphold the integrity of tax services.
- Keep abreast of tax law changes and industry trends3.
- Analyze tax issues to provide effective solutions and training.
- Ensure firm and client adherence to tax regulations.
Leadership
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where every member of our tax professional team feels valued and empowered. Offer guidance on complex technical matters while championing professional development and growth.
- Efficiently orchestrate multiple client projects, ensuring that deadlines are met with excellence. Allocate resources smartly to maximize productivity and client satisfaction.
Firm Growth & Client Engagement
- Foster enduring relationships with clients by delivering outstanding service and understanding their unique requirements.
- Seek avenues to enhance services for current clients while engaging in initiatives to welcome new clients.
- Guide complex business engagements, emphasizing high-quality tax counsel and broadening client services.
- Ensure strong, lasting client connections with superior communication and service.
- Oversee complex business dealings, prioritizing top-tier tax guidance and service expansion.
