A profitable company with a diverse customer base is hiring a Quality Engineer to lead a Quality Technician and work within a team to meet production goals and customer requests. This is a day shift position that works Monday-Friday, with very rare weekends. Daily you will report to the General Manager and be responsible for the following tasks:
- Take ownership of the accredited ISO 9001 certification, including compliance, documentation, audits, etc.
- Communicate with customers on quality issues
- Complete any customer specific quality related paperwork and documentation
- Establish, monitor, and work to improve quality KPIs and metrics
- Lead and execute root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
- Communicate internally and with external customers on the status of quality
- Utilize formal problem solving techniques to determine quality issues
- Complete internal audits and quality training to team members
- Document inspection results and quality findings within the company ERP system
- Other duties as directed by management
This is a hands-on quality position that requires qualified candidates to be on the production floor up to 50% of their day. Candidates should have attention to detail and the ability to be thorough, able to work well within a team environment and have excellent communication skills at all levels of the company. You will communicate regularly with customers on the status of quality. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Engineer:
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
2. Minimum of at least 2-3 years in a similar quality position

3. Experience working within a manufacturing environment with a formal Quality Management System (QMS), such as ISO or IATF
4. Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
5. Microsoft Office experience, including basic Excel skills
