A successful, growing manufacturer that has recently expanded is seeking an EHS Manager. As the EHS Manager you will work closely with team members and will report to the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Champion and cultivate a high-performance, safety-oriented culture across the organization.
- Personally conduct and oversee comprehensive job hazard analyses to ensure proactive risk mitigation.
- Direct and actively lead formal accident investigations, ensuring root-cause identification and systemic resolution.
- Strategically audit and optimize EHS processes to drive continuous operational improvement.
- Provide leadership within the safety committee.
- Lead the end-to-end incident investigation process and partner directly with HR to ensure BWC compliance, manage claims, and implement technical countermeasures.
- Deliver executive-level EHS performance briefings to upper management on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Design and facilitate multi-level safety and environmental training programs to build enterprise-wide competency and facilitate training as needed.
- Manage the integrity of safety documentation to guarantee full regulatory compliance.
- Maintain the official OSHA log, ensuring absolute precision and compliance with all applicable laws.
- Directly execute the collection and analysis of data related to EHS programs, permits, and records to guide decision-making.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for all regulatory agencies regarding EHS matters.
- Work to attain ISO-14001 certification.
- Orchestrate and lead site-level environmental and safety audits and inspections.
- Ensure enterprise-wide adherence to all local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain a high-visibility leadership presence on the manufacturing floor to drive and reinforce safety initiatives.
- Govern and track staff training completion in the company LMS.
- Take direct responsibility for the technical fulfillment of all water and air permit requirements.
- Partner strategically with HR on Workers' Compensation processes, leading investigations and implementing robust countermeasures.
- Execute high-level departmental objectives and additional mandates as assigned.

Successful candidates will be flexible with work requirements, have excellent presentation skills, have a passion for training and safety and enjoy working with individuals at all levels.

REQUIREMENTS for the EHS Manager:
1. A Bachelor's degree in a related EHS field is desired, but not required, depending on years of experience in a similar role
2. Depending on level of education, at least ten years of EHS experience, with at least five in a lead EHS position
