Commercial Lines CSR

Primary Focus
Deliver exceptional client service across the full commercial insurance lifecycle, including renewals, policy changes, claims, quoting, and sales. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, ensuring policy accuracy, maintaining compliance, and proactively identifying coverage solutions to support retention and growth.


Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage abeyance list daily and maintain consistent follow-ups

  • Build and nurture strong client relationships

  • Advise clients on coverage options to best protect their assets

  • Proactively recommend solutions across a broad range of insurance products

  • Conduct client site visits as needed

Policy Renewals

  • Collaborate with underwriters to prepare renewal documentation and reports

  • Review client operations and coverage needs ahead of renewal

  • Prepare and send insurance documentation and correspondence

  • Follow up on accounts receivable

  • Support remarketing efforts to improve coverage and pricing while retaining business

  • Liaise with TSRs as needed during the renewal process

Policy Changes & Service

  • Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage and policy updates

  • Process endorsements and mid-term changes, including premium calculations

  • Explain billing and payment schedules clearly

  • Assist with banking and payment updates

  • Maintain accurate policy records and portal updates

Claims Support

  • Guide clients through the claims process and set expectations

  • Provide ongoing claims follow-up and support

Quoting & Sales Support

  • Prepare quotes for new commercial leads

  • Deliver prompt, professional communication to prospects and clients

  • Maintain accurate records of all quotes and interactions in the CRM

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and carrier requirements (including RIBO)

  • Complete thorough needs assessments and recommend tailored solutions

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities to support account rounding and retention


Professional Development

  • Maintain a valid RIBO license

  • Participate in ongoing training and commercial insurance education

  • Actively seek feedback and opportunities for growth
