SUMMARY
The Account Manager, Commercial Lines is a key member of the Commercial Lines team and is responsible for the day-to-day servicing and management of a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. This role requires strong technical insurance knowledge and excellent organizational skills. The Account Manager works collaboratively with internal teams, insurance company partners, and clients to deliver high-quality service and support the growth and retention of the commercial lines book of business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage and service an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring timely and accurate handling of renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and inquiries.
Work collaboratively with Commercial Lines team members, account assistants, and leadership to ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to established workflows, policies, and procedures.
Maintain strong working relationships with insurance company contacts and stay current on underwriting guidelines, product offerings, and market changes.
Apply strong technical insurance knowledge to review coverage, identify gaps, and support clients with informed recommendations aligned with their business needs.
Effectively organize workload and prioritize day-to-day tasks to meet service standards and client expectations.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Advanced technical knowledge of commercial insurance products, policy wordings, and underwriting guidelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, professional documentation and communicate effectively with clients and insurers.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
High level of initiative, attention to detail, and sound judgment in executing job responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience as a RIBO-licensed insurance professional
Demonstrated experience servicing commercial insurance accounts.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Applied Epic, with the ability to leverage technology to support workflow efficiency.
Proven problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and client service excellence.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Monday to Friday, based on business needs.
Hybrid work environment.
