Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team, with a focus on small to mid-sized enterprise (SME) accounts.
Ideally, we’re seeking someone with 3–7 years of brokerage experience managing commercial clients in this segment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, confidence in handling day-to-day client servicing, and familiarity with quoting, renewals, policy changes, and insurer portals. We’re looking for someone organized, proactive, and client-focused, who can work both independently and as part of a broader service team.
Compensation is in the range of $55,000–$72,000, depending on experience and expertise. We offer a supportive environment with access to a wide range of markets, mentorship from senior team members, and ongoing education and development opportunities.
Summary:
● Integral member of the Commercial Lines team.
● Responsible for daily administration of assigned book of business.
● Manage renewals, onboarding, policy adjustments, and client communication.
● Collaborative teamwork, initiative, and discretion required.
Essential Job Functions:
● Orchestrate renewal process, including proposals and binders.
● Generate documentation, complete applications, and issue insurance certificates.
● Provide insurance counsel and recommend coverage options.
● Execute bond issuance and manage surety process.
● Oversee third-party financed premiums.
● Administer accounts receivable for agency bill policies.
● Initiate and monitor claim submissions.
● Engage with underwriters for policy negotiations.
● Maintain understanding of underwriting guidelines.
● Deliver superior client service.
● Drive revenue growth through cross-selling.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
● Proficiency in managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
● Mastery of the English language.
● Refined communication skills, oral and written.
● Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
● Valid RIBO License.
● Minimum three years experience as Commercial Account Manager.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SigXP, and ComXP.
● Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
● Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
● Substantial knowledge of policy language and coverage.
● CAIB/CIP or CRM designation desirable
